Master P on ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ Accusers: ‘Those Parents Shouldn’t Have Let That Go That Far’

The troubling revelations from Lifetime’s six-part documentary series Surviving R. Kelly, which wrapped up on Saturday night, have caused a number of celebrities to speak out about the Chicago R&B singer’s alleged misconduct. But while many are taking aim at Kelly himself, on Sunday night, Master P took to Instagram to post two videos about the series in which he condemns the role of the victims’ parents in the alleged abuse instead.

“Let me tell y’all about R. Kelly. The truth is I don’t like the parents,” he says, before adding what he would do if his children were in the same situation. “Y’all know I ain’t gonna be on no reality show or Lifetime; I’mma be on CNN, straight up. It’s gonna get real, think about it. I’m not about to play with nobody; I’mma burn it down, I’m gonna do something.”

The parents he’s referring to are the ones whose daughters are currently living with Kelly, who the families say is holding the girls against their will. One of those alleged victims, Joycelyn Savage, has done interviews with TMZ saying she is OK, while her parents say Kelly is not letting their daughter contact them and that she has Stockholm syndrome.

“Ain’t nobody gonna play with my kids. Straight up,” Master P continued in the second video. “You shouldn’t have even been on TV, and if you a parent, you shouldn’t be on that unless you on CNN from a jail cell. I don’t know if R. Kelly did it or not, that ain’t any of my business, I ain’t judging, but I’m just saying those parents shouldn’t have let that go that far. … If my kid in there, it’s gonna be all-out war. Everybody coming outside, to be honest with you.”

R. Kelly performs during the Holiday Jam at Fox Theater on Dec. 27, 2016 in Atlanta.

Too many people are focused on R.Kelly when they kids are getting touched on right in the house they living in. Pay attention to your own kids and make sure they not being molested or raped.
