Rest In Peace Nipsey Hussle. Your energy will never die Young King.

The hip-hop community is in mourning today as news spreads of the sudden passing of LA-based rap star, Nipsey Hussle.

The 33-year-old Grammy-nominated rapper, born Ermias Davidson Asghedom, was killed in a shooting outside his clothing store in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon, multiple sources have confirmed. Two other men were shot, and a suspect is still on the loose at the time of this writing.

Los Angeles police Lt. Chris Martinez stated that Hussle was shot multiple times in the parking lot of his The Marathon Clothing store on West Slauson Avenue in South Los Angeles at roughly 3:30 p.m. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Nipsey had been building up his name in the LA scene for a minute before his Kris Kross-sampled 2010-hit, “Hussle in the House” took his buzz to a whole new level internationally. He drew comparisons to Snoop Dogg and was seen by many as the new face of West Coast gangsta rap. His most recent was release was the Roddy Ricch and Hit-Boy-assisted single, “Racks In The Middle.”

The mainstream got a better look at him in 2013 after garnering media coverage from releasing hard copies of his Crenshaw album for $100. While some were skeptical of the move, JAY-Z silenced the naysayers by sending Nipsey a cheque for $10,000 and grabbing 100 copies.

The Slauson Ave. rapper had some Canadian collaborations under his belt including “Killer” with Drake (2009), “California Water” with Big Lean (2015), and more recently “Double Up” with Belly (2018). Both singles have been streamed more than 10 million times on Spotify. “Double Up,” which also features Dom Kennedy, was nominated for Best Rap Album at this year’s Grammy Awards.

Both Drake and Belly have made brief statements online regarding Nipsey’s passing. Drake posted this message on Instagram:

“Fuck. My whole energy is just at a low right now hearing this. We just linked for the first time in years and said we were gonna do a new song this summer cause it had been too long. You were having the best run and I was so happy watching from distance fam nobody ever talks down on your name you were a real one to your people and to the rest of us. I’m only doing this here cause I want the world to know I saw you as a man of respect and a don. Rest easy my g.”

Belly commented on Twitter with a couple of tweets including: “Rest in paradise Nip.”

LATRUTH Speaks on Nipsey Hussle death! Is his death a conspiracy or was he killed by a hater?

Rapper Nipsey Hussle died Sunday after a shooting in Los Angeles near a clothing store he owned, according to a high-ranking law enforcement official with the Los Angeles Police Department.

Two other people were injured in the shooting around 3:20 p.m., according to the department.
The shooting occurred in the area of Slauson Avenue and Crenshaw Boulevard.
The victims were transported to a hospital, where one of them was pronounced dead, according to police. The other two were in stable condition, police added.
In a tweet, the department said it has no information about the suspect.
The rapper’s last message on Twitter read: “Having strong enemies is a blessing.”
In 2010, Hussle, 33, whose birth name was Ermias Davidson Asghedom, according to, founded the record label All Money In, which he debuted with the release of “The Marathon,” the rapper’s fifth official mixtape. His 2013 “Crenshaw” release sold more than 1,000 cassettes each priced at $100, according to his Press Atlantic Records biography.
The next year, he performed across the country in his Crenshaw Tour.
Hussle teamed up with dozens of successful artists, including Kendrick Lamar, Drake, YG, Ty Dolla Sign, Meek Mill and Young Thug.
He made moves outside the music industry, too. Last year he launched the first Marathon Clothing smart store at 3420 W. Slauson Avenue in Los Angeles. He also owned The Marathon Agency, SC Commercial Ventures, Proud 2 Pay and All Money In No Money Out Records, according to Press Atlantic Records.
His Facebook page says Hussle was “a devout member of the Rolling Sixty Crips,” a national street gang that was founded in Los Angeles in the mid-1970s.
His page lists Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur as some of his influences.
Hussle was nominated for best rap album at this year’s Grammys, but lost to Cardi B.

Stopping gang violence

Mark Ridley-Thomas, a member of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors who represents the southern part of the city, released a statement Sunday night saying his district mourned the loss of Hussle.
“Ermias Asghedom, known to us as the hip-hop artist Nipsey Hussle, was a father, businessman, entertainer, and inspiration to many,” Ridley-Thomas said, urging his district to stay calm and reflect on the tragedy. “Our communities have lost too many young men and bright futures to the scourge of gun violence. For healing to occur, even from this terrible incident, justice must be sought through legal means, and community peace must be found.”
Hussle had been scheduled to meet with LA Police Commissioner Steve Soboroff and LAPD Chief Michael Moore on Monday to discuss ways to stop gang violence, Soboroff said on Twitter.
“We (@LAPDChiefMoore and I ) were meeting, at the request of @NipseyHussle with him and @rocnation tomorrow at 4pm to talk about ways he could help stop gang violence and help us help kids. I’m so very sad,” Soboroff tweeted.

Stars pay tribute

After news of Hussle’s death, dozens of celebrities expressed their shock and condolences on social media.
“My spirit is shaken by this,” Rihanna wrote on Twitter. “Dear God may His spirit Rest In Peace and May You grant divine comfort to all his loved ones! I’m so sorry this happened to you.”
“Sad, mad and disappointed about my guy,” rapper Ice Cube tweeted.
Pharrell Williams wrote Hussle was about “something.. positive and for your community in every chance you had to speak.. and because of that You inspire millions.. millions who will uphold your legacy forever.”
Rapper J. Cole tweeted that Hussle was a “legend.”
“I respect and admire your career path and what you did for the neighborhood. My heart broke today when I saw the news. I’m praying for your loved ones,” Cole tweeted.
Other artists, including Chance the RapperMeek Mill and Drake, took to social media to say their final goodbyes, along with athletes Stephen CurryLeBron James and Colin Kaepernick.
Clarification: The headline and article have been updated to reflect that Nipsey Hussle was owner of the clothing store near the site of the shooting.

Usher & Rich The Kid Involved In Studio Attack, Entourage Members Robbed & Pistol-Whipped

We just got Usher leaving the studio … the singer appeared fine but didn’t have anything to say about the shooting.

6:58 PM PT — Reps for Rich the Kid tell us the rapper is doing okay after the incident. Rich the Kid and his entourage came under attack Tuesday afternoon at a famous West Hollywood studio, where Usher was also recording … TMZ has learned.

Multiple shots were fired — possibly as many as 10 — during the incident at Westlake Recording Studio … according to eyewitnesses. We’re told the man who opened fire was running away from the studio when he started shooting behind him.

Video thumbnail

Law enforcement sources tell us Usher was in the studio, but not hurt.

We’re told Rich was outside when it all went down, and it appears he was the target of the robbery. Multiple entourage members were also attacked, and at least one bodyguard was badly pistol whipped.

L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies are swarming the studio and surrounding blocks right now, searching for suspects and collecting evidence. It’s unclear if anyone was hit when the shots were fired, but we’re told the suspect or suspects made off with a ton of cash and jewelry.

BTW … Rich the Kid posted this pic of himself 4 hours ago, flaunting stacks of cash while standing in front of a Lambo. Coincidentally, he captioned it, “For motivational purposes only.”

Unfortunately, this is nothing new for Rich. You’ll recall he was badly injured during an armed home invasion robbery last summer in downtown Los Angeles.

His GF, Tori Brixx, was also injured during the attack, and the suspects … once again, made off with cash and jewelry.

Floyd Mayweather Is Not Worried About The Boycott Against Gucci

Gucci has recently been facing backlash after they released a sweater that resembles blackface. Many celebrities have spoken out against the brand since the sweater’s release, prompting many to boycott the high-end brand.

Recently, TMZ caught up with Floyd Mayweather outside of the Gucci store in Beverly Hills, and it’s safe to say he is not worried about the boycott against the brand.

He said, “I don’t got nothing against nobody. My thing is this, I support everybody, I like everybody, and my thing is this I like to live life and do what I got to do. I’m not no follower, I do what the f**k I wanna do.”

After making his purchase at the store, the photog continued to speak with Floyd, and when they brought up that some people may be upset with him for his decision, he said, “You said they’re gonna be upset with me? I love it, I love it, I love it. See the thing is this, I live for myself. I do what I want to do.”

He continued, “We all know racism still exists but that’s not gonna stop my drive. I’ve got friends from all walks of life and to me of course, black lives matter first … but my thing is this, I’m gonna continue to go out there live life and be happy and positive.”

DMX Announces The 20th Anniversary Tour For His Debut Album ‘It’s Dark And Hell Is Hot’

DMX is fresh out of prison and he is not wasting any time when it comes to getting back to work. On Monday, he announced that he will be going to tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his debut album “It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot.”

According to Rolling Stone, the tour will kickoff in OKC on March 8th and the 32-date tour will hit other cities such as New York, Philadelphia, Houston, Pheonix and many others before wrapping up on May 7th in Pittsburgh.

The classic album featured some of DMX’s major hits including “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem,” Get At Me Dog,” “It’s Going Down,” and many others. The album’s actual 20th anniversary, was last year. However, DMx’s incarceration delayed the 20-year celebration.

Last month, he was released from prison after serving time for tax evasion charges.

As we previously reported, DMX had multiple offers on the table prior to his release from prison. Some of those deals included movie offers for his very own biopic. His lawyer also mentioned that he had been writing a lot of songs while serving his time. Which means a new DMX album should be on its way soon.

Jessie Smoullett known as Jamal Lyon on the show Empire was attacked by two white men in Chicago where they attempted to hang him and pour bleach on him.

Police: No footage yet showing ‘Empire’ actor being attacked

Screen Shot 2019-02-01 at 11.35.26 AM

January 30 at 6:36 PM

CHICAGO — Detectives have reviewed surveillance footage of “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett walking to his downtown Chicago apartment after a visit to a sandwich shop, but so far none of the video shows him being attacked by two masked men, a police spokesman said Wednesday.

Investigators “for the most part” can confirm the route Smollett took early Tuesday when he says he was attacked along a street in the Streeterville neighborhood, spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said. However, there are gaps, and none of the footage shows an attack, he said, although the review is ongoing.

Smollett, who is black and gay and plays the gay character Jamal Lyon on the hit Fox television show, said the men beat him, subjected him to racist and homophobic insults, threw an “unknown chemical substance” on him and put a thin rope around his neck before fleeing.

Guglielmi said detectives, who are investigating the allegations as a possible hate crime, have looked at hundreds of hours of surveillance video from businesses and hotels in the heavily monitored area. But he said they still need to collect and view more. He said they are expanding the search to include footage from public buses and buildings beyond the scene’s immediate vicinity in the hopes of spotting the men who match Smollett’s description of the suspects.

“We haven’t seen anybody, at this point, matching the description he gave. Nobody looks menacing, and we didn’t find a container anywhere,” Guglielmi said, referring to a container for the liquid that the actor said was thrown at him.

Neither Smollett nor his publicist has spoken publicly about the attack.

Now in its fifth season, the hourlong drama follows an African-American family as they navigate the ups and downs of the record industry. Smollett’s character is the middle son of Empire Entertainment founder Lucious Lyon and Cookie Lyon, played by Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson, respectively.

After the attack, Smollett returned to his apartment, and his manager called police from there about 40 minutes later, Guglielmi said. When officers arrived, the actor had cuts and scrapes on his face and the rope around his neck that he said had been put there by his assailant, he said. The 36-year-old later went to Northwestern Memorial Hospital after police advised him to do so.

The FBI is investigating a threatening letter targeting Smollett that was sent last week to the Fox studio in Chicago where “Empire” is filmed, Guglielmi said. The FBI did not immediately return a call seeking comment Wednesday.

Bobby Rush, a Democratic congressman from Chicago, issued a statement calling on the agency to conduct “an immediate and sweeping civil rights investigation into the racist and homophobic attack.”

In addition to his acting career, Smollett has a musical career and is a noted activist, particularly on LBGTQ issues.

The report of the attack drew a flood of outrage and support for Smollett on social media. Among the many celebrities and politicians who weighed in was California Sen. Kamala Harris, a 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful who knows Smollett. She called the attack “outrageous” and “awful.”

Some of the outrage stems from Smollett’s account to detectives that his attackers yelled that he was in “MAGA country,” an apparent reference to the Trump campaign’s “Make America Great Again” slogan.

Chicago has one of the nation’s most sophisticated and extensive video surveillance systems, including thousands of cameras on street poles, skyscrapers, buses and in train tunnels.

Police say the cameras have helped them make thousands of arrests. In one of the best-known examples of the department’s use of the cameras, investigators in 2009 were able to recreate a school board president’s 20-minute drive through the city, singling out his car on a succession of surveillance cameras to help them determine that he committed suicide and had not been followed and killed by someone else, as his friends speculated.

What to Do When You Get Pulled Over by the Police. Works like a charm!

You’re driving home from work and your mind drifts from the events of the day to who would win some hypothetical historical matchups. Like, if say Teddy Roosevelt and Sasquatch stepped into the ring, who would come out the victor? Would TR’s boxing and wrestling prowess win the day, or would Sasquatch’s brute strength be too much for the prez to overcome?

Little do you realize, your foot is getting heavier and heavier on the gas as you imagine this battle for the ages. Pretty soon, you’re going 58 MPH in a 45 MPH zone and you don’t even know it. Just as you imagine Teddy perform a Sasquatch Suplex, the flash of red and blue lights in your rearview mirror brings you back to reality.

Crap. You’re getting pulled over. Stupid Sasquatch Suplex.

I can still remember the first time I got stopped by the police. My heart sank in my chest, my palms started sweating, and I was nervous as all get out. I had no clue what I was supposed to do. Where should I pull over? Do I turn my car off? Should I have my license and insurance ready before the officer arrives at my window?

While getting pulled over by the police is never a pleasant experience (unless you enjoy paying traffic fines), there are a few things you can do to make it less stressful for both you and the officer. To find out what you should do if you’re ever pulled over in a traffic stop, I talked to AoM readers Phil Hull, a police officer from Georgia, and Andy, an attorney also from Georgia. (Georgia AoM readers were really responsive to my tweets asking for help. Southern hospitality for the win!)

Note: This article focuses on traffic stops for minor traffic violations like speeding, rolling through a stop sign, or having a broken taillight. It also assumes that you’re not doing anything criminal like driving while intoxicated or possessing illegal drugs. That’s a whole other ball game. Also, this article is for informational purposes only and not for the purpose of providing legal advice. You should contact an attorney to obtain advice with respect to any particular issue or problem.

Put Yourself in the Officer’s Shoes

According to Phil, the first thing that citizens need to know about traffic stops is how extremely dangerous they are for officers. “Traffic stops are one of the most dangerous and unpredictable aspects of law enforcement — second only to domestic disputes,” he says. Statistics back up Phil’s claim. According to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, traffic stops are one of the leading causes of police deaths. What makes traffic stops so hazardous?

First, there’s the danger that the pulled-over motorist poses to the officer. Sudden and violent attacks are common. Dozens of officers are killed each year by gun fire during traffic stops. The second threat officers face while making stops is traffic. Officers getting hit by passing vehicles is, sadly, too common.

Knowing the dangers that traffic stops pose to officers should guide your actions whenever you see those flashing lights behind you. The advice that follows boils down to two key points: 1) pull over to a safe area and 2) don’t do or say anything that will make the officer think you’re a threat. Below we flesh out this bit of general advice.

What to Do When You Get Pulled Over by the Police

Acknowledge the officer by turning on flashers. To let the officer know that you’ve seen his lights and that you plan on pulling over, turn on your emergency flashers. Phil recommends you do this if you think you’ll need to drive a distance before you can find a safe place to pull over.

Pull over to a safe area. Typically, you want to pull over to the right side of the road. When looking for a spot to pull over to, think “safety first” for both you and the officer. Phil recommends looking for an area with a wide shoulder so passing traffic isn’t a hazard. If it’s nighttime, look for place that’s well lit if possible. That will help put the officer at ease. Parking lots and well-lit side streets are other safe places to pull over to.

“If you need to travel a short distance to pull over, do so at a slower pace than you normally drive,” Phil recommends. You don’t want the officer to think you’re trying to make a getaway. Also, if you need to cross multiple lanes to pull over to the right-hand side of the road, do so safely.

Stay in the car. If you get out of the car as soon as you stop, it may give the impression to the officer that you’re going to be aggressive or you have something to hide in the car. Just keep your bum in your seat.

Turn off engine, roll down window, and turn on your dome lights. As soon as you come to a stop, turn off your engine and roll down your window. If it’s dark out, turn on your dome light so the officer can see what’s going on inside the vehicle as he approaches.

Stay calm. It’s common to get amped up whenever you get pulled over. Take some deep breaths and relax. Unless you’ve done something outright criminal (i.e. driving intoxicated, possessing illegal drugs, etc.) there’s nothing to be nervous about. The worst that can happen during a routine traffic stop is that you’ll have to pay a fine. Oh, and your insurance will probably go up. Pretty sucky, but not the end of the world.  If it helps, it’s good to remind yourself that the officer is probably nervous too.

Stay still and keep your hands on the steering wheel. Keep your hands resting on the wheel and remain still as the officer approaches your vehicle. You don’t want to give him or her any reason to believe you’re a threat.

If you plan on fighting your ticket, keep answers short and don’t directly admit wrongdoing. Everything you say to an officer is admissible in court, so if you plan on fighting your ticket, Andy suggests not saying anything that indicates you are guilty. Officers will typically ask questions to get some sort of admission out of you when they first walk up to your window. For example, “Do you know why I pulled you over?” Don’t say, “I was speeding, sir.” Simply say, “No” or, “I don’t know.”

But sometimes, saying “I’m sorry” works. However, Andy states that sometimes it doesn’t pay to be coy like this with the officer, and that it’s better to just fess up and apologize. “If you accidentally roll through a stop sign and immediately apologize, they may let you off with a warning.” If you don’t plan on fighting your ticket, just say, “I’m sorry, officer. I was imagining Teddy Roosevelt with Sasquatch in a headlock. I’ll pay more attention next time.” I’ve gotten off with just a warning a few times by saying those words, showing the officer some courtesies, and being polite

Wait for the officer to ask for your documents. Don’t try to expedite the process by getting your license and registration ready while the officer approaches your car. For all he knows you could be reaching for a gun or trying to hide some sort of incriminating evidence. Wait until he or she gets to the window and asks for your documents.

Move deliberately. When you do reach to get your license and registration, do so deliberately. “A quick reach into the glove compartment for your insurance paperwork looks the same as a quick reach into your glove compartment for a weapon,” says Phil. If your wallet is in a gym bag in your backseat, let the officer know before you turn around and rummage for it. Quick Tip: Try to keep your glove compartment relatively organized, and your documents together, so that when you pull the box open, you don’t have to frantically sort through 20-year-old maps and wads of receipts to find your registration.

If you’re carrying a gun, let the officer know. Some states have laws that require concealed carry owners to inform officers that they’re carrying a gun anytime they get pulled over. These are called “must inform” states. Officers are allowed to ask for and hold the weapon for the duration of the stop.

Even if you don’t live in a “must inform” state, as a courtesy to the officer, you might want to disclose the fact that you’re carrying. Nothing puts an officer on red alert like seeing a “print” of a gun through a motorist’s clothes.

Return hands to the steering wheel. After you’ve handed the officer your paperwork, return your hands to the steering wheel. “It keeps them visible to the officer,” says Phil.

Be civil. Be polite and respectful in your communications with the officer. Yes, it sucks to get a ticket, but calling the officer names, threatening him, and being rude won’t get you anywhere. In fact, it could make things worse. If the officer happens to be a woman, refer to her as “officer” or “ma’am,” not “sweetheart” or “honey.” She’s an officer of the law, show some respect.

You don’t have to consent to a search. In order to search your vehicle without your consent, an officer needs probable cause – maybe he smells something in the car or sees a bottle on your seat. If he doesn’t have probable cause but wants to search your car anyway, he’ll need your consent and may ask you something like, “You don’t mind me taking a look in your car, do you?” Even if you haven’t done anything illegal, it’s usually a good idea to exercise your Fourth Amendment right in this situation and decline the search. “While you may believe you have nothing to hide, you never know what could come up.  Maybe a friend left an empty beer can in your back seat during a tailgate party, and the officer will charge you with an open container violation,” Andy explains. Politely decline the search by saying, “I don’t consent to a search, officer,” loud enough so it gets on the police recorder. That’s it.

Don’t argue. “The side of the road is not the place to argue a charge,” says Phil. If you want to contest the ticket, you can do so in court and in front of a judge.

Sign the citation. If the officer decides to issue a citation, he’ll ask you to sign it. Sign it. It’s not an admission of guilt, it’s just recognition that you’ve received the citation and that you promise to either 1) pay the fine or 2) show up to court on the designated date. “A signature on a citation in most jurisdictions is in lieu of you posting a cash bond. Posting a cash bond generally consists of a trip to the nearest jail or judge and may include a booking process and fingerprinting. It is always easier to sign the ticket,” says Phil.

Be safe when merging back into traffic. Phil recommends taking your time to store your belongings before you re-enter traffic. “If you’re upset, collect yourself before driving away.” When you’re ready, turn on your signal and merge back into traffic. This time, avoid any mental fight simulations involving Teddy Roosevelt and Sasquatch until you get home and are safely ensconced in your man chair. Stay safe out there.

Master P on ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ Accusers: ‘Those Parents Shouldn’t Have Let That Go That Far’

The troubling revelations from Lifetime’s six-part documentary series Surviving R. Kelly, which wrapped up on Saturday night, have caused a number of celebrities to speak out about the Chicago R&B singer’s alleged misconduct. But while many are taking aim at Kelly himself, on Sunday night, Master P took to Instagram to post two videos about the series in which he condemns the role of the victims’ parents in the alleged abuse instead.

“Let me tell y’all about R. Kelly. The truth is I don’t like the parents,” he says, before adding what he would do if his children were in the same situation. “Y’all know I ain’t gonna be on no reality show or Lifetime; I’mma be on CNN, straight up. It’s gonna get real, think about it. I’m not about to play with nobody; I’mma burn it down, I’m gonna do something.”

The parents he’s referring to are the ones whose daughters are currently living with Kelly, who the families say is holding the girls against their will. One of those alleged victims, Joycelyn Savage, has done interviews with TMZ saying she is OK, while her parents say Kelly is not letting their daughter contact them and that she has Stockholm syndrome.

“Ain’t nobody gonna play with my kids. Straight up,” Master P continued in the second video. “You shouldn’t have even been on TV, and if you a parent, you shouldn’t be on that unless you on CNN from a jail cell. I don’t know if R. Kelly did it or not, that ain’t any of my business, I ain’t judging, but I’m just saying those parents shouldn’t have let that go that far. … If my kid in there, it’s gonna be all-out war. Everybody coming outside, to be honest with you.”

R. Kelly performs during the Holiday Jam at Fox Theater on Dec. 27, 2016 in Atlanta.

The series, which, according to Deadline, garnered Lifetime’s largest viewership in two years with 1.9 million viewers, features interviews with alleged survivors of Kelly’s abuse. Watch Master P’s response below.

Rapper / Actor LATRUTH speaks on the topic and says that This thing is bigger than R.Kelly and that little girls are getting raped by uncles and there mothers boyfriends should be spoke on more than this R.Kelly thing if you wan’t to prevent little girls from being raped. Too many people are focused on R.Kelly when they kids are getting touched on right in the house they living in. Pay attention to your own kids and make sure they not being molested or raped.

LeBron James addresses Kevin Durant about his comments saying he’s Toxic.

“You couldn’t walk a mile in my shoes says LeBron James to Kevin Durant”

LeBron James: Lakers star responds to Kevin Durant comments in frank interview

LEBRON JAMES says he doesn’t take criticism personally anymore and doesn’t care what anybody thinks about him. Los Angeles Lakers rallied to defeat the San Antonio Spurs at Staples Center 121-113.

The 33-year-old scored 42 points including 20 in the fourth quarter. The Lakers were eight points down with under nine minutes to play before James inspired the comeback.

After the game, James was asked about what fueled his performance and whether it was the recent talk about him – Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson and Kevin Durant have all had their fair share to say.

“I can do whatever. I can have a huge workload, I can have a not so huge workload – It doesn’t matter for me.

“What’s most important is seeing my teammates make huge shots in the fourth quarter. That’s what’s most important to me. I can care less about the narrative about me. It doesn’t matter. I’m a staple in this game.”

Kevin Durant recently made comments that fans and media alike thought would possibly anger James – but James refused to comment on the situation because he wasn’t aware of the context it was said in.

Durant had said: “So much hype comes from being around LeBron from other people.

“He has so many fanboys in the media. Even the beat writers just fawn over him. I’m like, we’re playing basketball here, and it’s not even about basketball at certain points.

“So I get why anyone wouldn’t want to be in that environment because it’s toxic. Especially when the attention is b***s*** attention, fluff.”

Durant was quick reiterate that none of this was down to James himself.

“It’s not LeBron’s fault at all — it’s just the fact you have so many groupies in the media that love to hang on every word. Just get out of the way and let us play basketball.”

When asked about KD’s comments, James remained coy.

“I would love to see the whole transcript of what was asked of him, the context it was asked of him, why it was asked and the whole thing,” James said.

“So I’m not gonna comment on it because I don’t know the whole thing. That would be stupid on my part. I’m a veteran.”

James’ Lakers will now head San Antonio for another game against the Spurs on Saturday and will stay on the road to play the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday.

The Man Who Drove Into Group Of Charlottesville Protesters Has Been Convicted Of First-Degree Murder

A man who drove his car into a crowd of counterprotesters at a white nationalist rally in Virginia was convicted Friday of first-degree murder for killing a woman in an attack that inflamed long-simmering racial and political tensions across the country.

A state jury rejected arguments that James Alex Fields Jr. acted in self-defense during a “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville on Aug. 12, 2017. Jurors also convicted Fields of eight other charges, including aggravated malicious wounding and hit and run.

Fields, 21, drove to Virginia from his home in Maumee, Ohio, to support the white nationalists. As a large group of counterprotesters marched through Charlottesville singing and laughing, he stopped his car, backed up, then sped into the crowd, according to testimony from witnesses and video surveillance shown to jurors.

Prosecutors told the jury that Fields was angry after witnessing violent clashes between the two sides earlier in the day. The violence prompted police to shut down the rally before it even officially began.

Heather Heyer, a 32-year-old paralegal and civil rights activist, was killed, and nearly three dozen others were injured. The trial featured emotional testimony from survivors who described devastating injuries and long, complicated recoveries.

This 7-year-old makes $22 million a year playing with toys on YouTube

Like many 7-year-olds, Ryan likes to play with toys. Lots of toys.

But Ryan has a YouTube channel with about 17 million subscribers who tune in to see what he thinks of those toys.

That makes him a social media influencer — and very wealthy one at that.

According to Forbes magazine, Ryan, of Ryan ToysReview, was the highest earning YouTube star last year, raking in $22 million.

» 2018 Holiday Gift Guide: Top Toys

In addition to money that comes from advertisers, Ryan has side gigs. If he looks familiar, it’s because his face is on toys and clothing at many retailers, including TargetKohl’s and Walmart.

Ryan, his parents and his twin sisters also have the YouTube channel Ryan’s Family Review, which has more than 3 million subscribers.

“It’s so cool,” Ryan, who serves as creative director, said of seeing his face in the aisles of Walmart, Forbes reported. These deals will likely add millions to his earnings next year.

» Amazon is selling a $30 toy vacuum for kids — and some parents say it actually works

Ryan and his parents started Ryan ToysReview in 2015 and have posted a new video nearly every day.

According to a 2016 profile by the Verge, Ryan’s mom quit her job as a high school chemistry teacher to work on the YouTube channel full time. The Verge reported the channel became catapulted in popularity about four months after it launched. This video was the catalyst:

» Doctors recommend kids play with empty boxes instead of high-tech toys

“Ryan was watching a lot of toy review channels — some of his favorites are EvanTubeHD and Hulyan Maya — because they used to make a lot of videos about Thomas The Tank Engine, and Ryan was super into Thomas,” his mother, who doesn’t give her name, explained in an interview with TubeFilter. “One day, he asked me, ‘How come I’m not on YouTube when all the other kids are?’ So we just decided — yeah, we can do that. Then, we took him to the store to get his very first toy — I think it was a Lego train set — and it all started from there.”

To rank the YouTube stars, Forbes estimated earnings from June 1, 2017, through June 1, 2018. Figures are pretax; fees for agents, managers and lawyers are not deducted. Earnings estimates are based on data from Captiv8, SocialBlade and Pollstar, as well as interviews with industry insiders.

Ryan beat out YouTube bad boy Jake Paul, who came in at No. 2 with $21.5 million, and Dude Perfect, No. 3 with $20 million. Rounding out the list were from No. 4 to No. 10: DanTDM, $18.5 million; Jeffree Star, $18 million; Markiplier, $17.5 million; Vanoss Gaming, $17 million; Jackscepticeye, $16 million; PewDiePie, $15.5 million; and Logan Paul, $14.5 million.

Meek Mill On Drake & Pusha T Beef: “Ain’t No Such Thing As Going Too Hard—I Would Tell Drake That When I See Him Too”

#Drake and #PushaT had a lil’ rap beef that will forever go down in the books of hip-hop. They came for each other in each of their initial responses, throwing close friends, baby mamas and allaathat in the mix. As y’all know, #Pusha spilled ALLL the tea on the kid #Drake was hiding the world from at the time.

Some people feel as though Pusha went too hard, and some feel as though he was within rap beef grounds. Everyone was waiting to see if #Aubrey would “finish him”, but the day never came like it did during his beef with #MeekMill.

If anyone knows a thing or two about a very public Hip-Hop beef it’s Meek Mill. A couple of years back he engaged in one of the most talked about beefs in history with his foe, now once again friend, Drake. The 6ix God went on to another beef with Pusha T that got pretty nasty. Drake is on record for believing King Push went too far, but Meek says he should have expected it.

Meek Mill visited Angie Martinez during his recent trip to New York City to promote Championships and detailed how when the beef is on, Hip-Hop gloves are off.

“Ain’t no such thing as going too hard. I would tell Drake that when I see him, too,” he said. “I’m just tellin’ you, I’m come from where niggas sayin’, ‘We will smoke your mom.’ Like, ‘We will lay on your mom and smoke her. Your dad is a rat. Your sister is a hoe.’”

Meek would also go on to detail his on beef with Drake and how he wasn’t prepared for the memes and pieces that followed.

Thankfully, he and Drake are on the same page now.

Robots That Can Have Babies Could Be Available Soon

If you don’t do well with women then you are quite lucky to have these Sex robots. And if this relationship goes far beyond, you can expect to have babies too.So all you have to do is not to be concerned about being courteous. The good thing is if you have got money then go for it. Because having the robot babies sounds like quite a new idea. That is just like being with ‘Samantha, ’ but it’s certainly a good idea.

Creator Sergei Santos utters that he intends to ‘upgrade the internal computer, which has an SD card slot to support software updates, with concepts around human values like beauty and justice.’

He further told the Sun :

Then to create a child with this robot it would be extremely simple. I would make an algorithm of what I personally believe about these concepts, and then shuffle it with what she thinks and then 3D print it.
That’s it. I 3D print the robot that is the child of me and the robot…I don’t see any complications.

OMG! What an innovative idea he is up to.
So, what are your views regarding this? Would you love to settle down with this sex robot and create babies of your own?

The Miracle Cancer fighting Smoothie Recipe

The Cure to Stomach Cancer!

You’ve heard that berries and red wine are good sources of antioxidants, which fight the free radicals that lead to cancer, but did you know that there are actually many cancer fighters out there that are working just as hard and better for you to keep you healthy?

It’s the harsh reality that 1 in 2 men will develop cancer in their lifetime, and 1 in 3 women. Cancer is something that affects every single person directly or indirectly, in some way or another. In fact, the average person develops 10,000 cancer cells every day, and it’s the job of our immune system to be as strong as possible to neutralize these cancer cells.

Cancer is not something that you get – you don’t wake up with it one day. It is something that develops slowly over time. Research says that many cancers aren’t even detectable with modern technology until it has been growing for 8 years! This is why this is one of the most important articles you will EVER read!

Today, we’re going to walk through my top 10 most powerful foods to combat cancer and why each one is essential in your nutrient-dense, alkaline diet.

Let’s get started!

  1. Dark, Leafy Greens

Spinach, Swiss chard, watercress, kale, romaine lettuce, turnip and collard greens, and other dark, leafy greens are rich in folate (aka. folic acid). This B-vitamin keeps cells from mutating into cancer cells. Folates especially prevent against colorectal and pancreatic cancers.

Asparagus and Brussels sprouts are also good sources of folate.

How to eat more of it: In addition to salads, dark greens should be added to every smoothie and juice. You can also use them for lettuce wraps and blend them into chilled summer soups.

Featured recipe: Creamy Raw Spinach Soup

  1. Curcumin

The active ingredient in the spice turmeric does double duty to prevent against cancer. It decreases inflammation throughout the body and then makes it nearly impossible for cancer cells to grow. Bladder and gastrointestinal cancers seem most affected by curcumin.

One of the most powerful cancer fighters you will find!

Cancer fighting tip:  Add a pinch of black pepper to you turmeric when consuming to increase the potency of turmeric by 2,000%!

How to eat more of it: Add turmeric powder to dishes beyond curries. It works well with lots of veggie dishes, lentils, and soups.

Featured recipe: Smoky & Crispy Chickpeas

  1. Garlic

If you love garlicky foods, you’ll be happy to hear that it lowers your risk of gastrointestinal cancers like colon, esophageal, and stomach cancer.

How to eat more of it: Add it to dips like hummus and guacamole, salad dressings, tomato sauce, and both hot and cold soups. Featured recipe: Artichoke and Caper “Risotto”

  1. Broccoli

This green superfood is the highest in Sulphoraphane among cruciferous vegetables. That’s the compound that flushes out cancer-causing chemicals and targets tumor growing cells.

How to eat more of it: Add broccoli to your quinoa bowl, stir fry, and raw soup recipes for an easy way to get more of these tasty “little trees.”

Featured recipe: Ultimate Green Smoothie Formula

  1. Ginger

Ginger may soon be used experimentally on cancer patients for whom chemotherapy is no longer working. It can actually kill and dispose of cancer cells in certain types of cancer like ovarian, so this alkaline spice goes far beyond just soothing an upset tummy and nausea.

How to eat more of it: You can take ginger supplements or add ginger to your stir fry dishes, soups, and smoothies. I also use it as a mild no-acid sweetener in desserts.

Featured recipe: Ginger Cinnamon Fruit with Sweet Tahini Dip

  1. Tomatoes

The top food source of lycopene, tomatoes’ health benefits stem from their bright red color. Lycopene has been found to stop endometrial cancer cell growth, as well as help prevent lung, prostate, and stomach cancers.

Surprisingly, lycopene is more concentrated in canned tomatoes than fresh, so feel free to eat year around using canned, organic tomatoes stored in BPA-free cans.

How to eat more of it: In addition to salads, tomatoes are a great addition to raw and hot soups, as well as pasta dishes using alkaline noodles like spiralized zucchini.

Featured recipe: Quinoa Stuffed Tomatoes

  1. Pistachios, Macadamia Nuts, and Almonds

These 3 nuts are particularly high in phytosterols, which have been shown to block estrogen receptors in breast cancer cells, possibly preventing cancer cell growth, and also decrease the likelihood of prostate cancer.

How to eat more of it: Add nuts to your smoothies, salads, and homemade muesli or granola, and use nut spreads on Ezekiel bread or with fruit slices.

Featured recipe: Homemade almond milk

  1. Detox Tea (featured in the 2-Day Detox Challenge)

One of your favorite morning drinks contains flavonoids including kaempferol, an antioxidant that protects against cancer. Studies have linked tea consumption to lower risk of ovarian and breast cancers.

How to drink more of it: Both hot and cold teas contain flavonoids, so enjoy tea year around.

Featured recipe, the most powerful tea you will find: Tumeric Ginger Lemon Tea

  1. Healthy Fats

Most people don’t think of eating more fats when they think of cancer prevention, but the truth is, healthy oils like coconut oil and extra virgin olive oil, and seeds like flax, chia, and hemp are great cancer preventers. By delivering the all-important Omega 3-6-9 fatty acids and fighting the toxic build-up of the Standard American Diet (SAD), these good fats keep your cells healthy.

How to eat more of it: Add coconut oil and seeds to just about every smoothie you make, and sprinkle morning porridge, salads, and soups with seeds. Use coconut oil as your default cooking oil and when the flavor won’t work, use extra virgin olive oil.

Featured recipe: Coco Banana Fro-Yo

  1. Beans

These fight cancer in more ways than one. First, they aid absorption of nutrients and help sweep toxins out of your body. Second, they increase the level of the fatty acid butyrate, which inhibits the growth of cancer. Colon and breast cancers seem especially affected by bean consumption.

How to eat more of it: Most beans are alkaline, so add them on your quinoa bowls, “burrito bowls,” salads, and alkaline pastas, and eat hummus with veggies regularly.

Featured recipe: Black Bean and Avocado Lettuce Cups

  1. Bonus! Alkamind Daily Supplements

By adding AlkaMind Daily Greens and AlkaMind Daily Minerals to your daily routine, you’ll be clearing out more of the toxic load your cells have to face and ensuring you’re getting enough calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium bicarbonate to neutralize any acid that has built up in your system.

Black Guy Gets Hilarious Revenge On Racist White Lady Who Tried To Cut Him In Line at the airport.

A MAN who was accused of pushing into the priority boarding line because of his skin colour had the perfect takedown for the racist woman who believed he didn’t belong there.

African-American music executive Emmit Eclass Walker claims he was waiting to board his flight at Ronald Reagan Washington Airport with his first-class ticket when the white, blonde woman behind him refused to believe he could have been a first-class passenger.

“Excuse me, I believe you may be in the wrong place you need to let us thru (sic). This line is for priority boarding,” the woman said. Mr Walker posted the exchange on Facebook, where it has gone viral.

After explaining to her that he knew exactly where he was and showing her his first-class ticket, she then refused to believe he paid for the ticket.

“He must be military or something, but we paid for our seats so he still should have to wait,” she said.

What Mr Walker said next had the entire gate clapping.

“Nope to big to ever be in anybodies military (sic). I’m just a n**** with money.”

He posted the conversation with a selfie, showing him waiting in line with the woman standing behind him. It had been liked over 670,000 times at the time of writing, with hundreds of comments praising Mr Walker.

“Never judge a book by its cover. She is so ignorant it makes no sense that people like her still exist. Enjoy yourself, you handled it well,” wrote one commenter.

Another wrote: “The power of an educated man with patience.”

A former military personnel wrote: “I’m prior military and I’m offended. What does the military have to with your ability to pay for first class. Heck they gave us economy seats. Nope not a valid reason to assume why you would have 1st tickets. These racists are bold!”

Women cheat while their men are sleeping. You’ll never guess how many women have confessed to creeping while their husbands are sleeping.

The gender gap is closing. Women are catching up to men in everything: job opportunities, wages, heart attacks, adultery.

OK, that’s a lie about wages and heart attacks.  But women really are approaching equality on the cheating front.

The recent news from Ashley Madison, the website for married people trawling for affairs, is that more women than men are signing up.

Reader, it’s true: women are cheating on their significant other more than ever before. That may help explain why divorce rates are at about 40% in Canada and closer to 50% in the U.S.  And that’s just for starter marriages. Rates are actually higher for subsequent marriages.

Talk about the triumph of hope over experience…

Why are women now becoming as unfaithful as men?

Or maybe they always have been?

Women always been bigger cheaters than men in my opinion. Women are just sneakier and don’t get caught.

(And, more importantly, where the hell would they find the time?)

Obviously, changes in traditional female roles have wrought changes in lots of other areas. Gender equality covers a lot of ground.

But it’s more complicated than that. According to Dr. Ashley Thompson, director of the Sexuality and Relationship Science Lab at the University of Minnesota Duluth, there are several factors at work. Advances in technology, for example, play a role in this closing of the gender infidelity gap.

“Technology is making it easier for women — for everybody — to find extra-dyadic partners, whether it’s on Ashley Madison or Tinder,” says Dr. Thompson. “I know people use Tinder for the same purpose, to find partners, even if they’re already in a relationship.”

Dr. Ashley Thompson, director of the Sexuality and Relationship Science Lab at the University of Minnesota Duluth. (SUPPLIED)

Women also have more opportunity now than they did in the past, she says.  “If, traditionally, women were homemakers and men were going off to work, men had more opportunities to cheat. But now you’re seeing increased gender equality, and women are out in the work force, gaining more autonomy. Women are engaging as much as men because now that opportunity is there.”

Given current levels of infidelity and divorce, maybe traditional relationships need a makeover? Consensual non-monogamy may be the future.

Lucia O’Sullivan@LuciaOSullivan1

If *I* engage in infidelity, it couldn’t be helped! Forces beyond my control…! But if *you* engage in infidelity, there is something fundmentally bad about you.

It’s a phrase you’ll hear a lot of relationship experts use, and it means having whatever relationships you wish, but with the consent of all concerned. It’s different from “cheating” because there’s no lying or sneaking around involved. The old-fashioned term was “open marriage.”

“These are the relationships where people negotiate, where maybe you aren’t entirely exclusive in certain areas,” says Dr. Thompson.

“I call these Build-A-Bear relationships,” she jokes. “You can built and cater and structure your relationship however you wish, like a Build-A-Bear.”

OK, it’s not for everyone, but research has shown that these consensual non-monogamous relationships seem to work for those involved. (You can read more about that when the book Polyamorous, by the Toronto Sun‘s own Jenny Yuen,  comes out this fall.)

Cover of Jenny Yuen’s upcoming book, Polyamorous. (Dundurn Press/SUPPLIED)

“Men and women report equal interest and equal satisfaction,” says Dr. Thompson, “so depending on how you define it and structure it, it could have benefits for both genders.”

Given the current levels of infidelity, she adds, “Perhaps relationship structures resembling consensual non-monogamy are something worth exploring for couples and partners who are interested.”

Madre Monstere@MGd0ll

I believe women have a bigger sexual appetite than men and this is why I can’t forgive a cheater….cause I don’t cheat and I need it too

Twitter Ads info and privacy

Certainly, young people are interested. According to Thompson, a recent study of 18—25 year olds (them, again!) showed that half the males and a third of the females reported interest in some form of consensual non-monogamy.

“Those rates are way higher than in previous generations,” she says. “Maybe that’s a byproduct of how they view marriage, or from seeing people delay marriage, avoid marriage. Maybe it’s people thinking more about these rates of infidelity — what can they do about them? Are there options? Is partnering up with just one person realistic? All those kinds of things.”

Infidelity? Its complicated.

It’s difficult to have hard statistics on infidelity. For one thing, men and women have very different views on what constitutes “cheating.”

For another thing, people lie.

We have the sneaking suspicion that women have always cheated as much as men do — there hasn’t been some mysterious change in female libido, right? Women are just more discreet.

They had to be, particularly in the past, when they had so much more to lose if their infidelity were found out. However, between effective birth control and work equity, women now have the money and the autonomy to direct their own fate.

The lying? There’s a name for that. Dr. Ashley Thompson says, “That’s socially desirable responding. In research, people will tell you one thing but actually not mean it, or their behaviour will tell you otherwise. And cheating is a super socially sensitive subject. If I straight-up ask someone in one of my studies, ‘Have you ever cheated?’ they may not want to tell me the truth, because they want to present themselves in socially positive ways. Do you want to admit to cheating? It doesn’t make you look that great… so in (past) research conducted, maybe women have aways said, ‘No I haven’t,’  to make themselves look better. And maybe they were cheating and we weren’t picking up on it.”

That, she says, is where Ashley Madison comes in.

“With sites like Ashley Madison, we’re not relying on people’s self reports or what people tell us. We have their actual behaviour data to look at, and see about gender difference and infidelity.”

As for definitions of infidelity, Thompson says women consider a lot of behaviours to be cheating that men just brush off.

“In some of my studies … women were much more likely to judge behaviours as indicative of infidelity than men were. I’d ask women to what extent  flirting is cheating, and they would rate that higher than men do. A man might look at flirting as nothing, no big deal.  A woman might think it’s something, and as a result, might be less inclined to engage in it — at least in the past,” she said.

“Now, maybe current generations aren’t looking at things in the same way.”

Birdman And Young Thug Reportedly Plead For Gag Order In Lil Wayne Tour Bus Shooting Case

I know y’all remember Lil Wayne’s tour bus shooting?

Since it happened back in 2015 in Atlanta, Ga, there have been many developments in the case. The most recent being #Birdman and Young Thug’s plea for a gag order against Alvin Lewis.

Let’s play catch up. Alvin Lewis, the driver of the bus, sued Birdman, Thug, and PeeWee Roscoe. PeeWee was hit with ten years behind bars as well as ten years probation following his guilty plea to six of the 27 counts he faced in connection to the shooting. He later appealed the sentence. Lil’ Wayne was not injured during the incident.
Now, Birdman and Young Thug have asked the judge to issue a gag order against Alvin — preventing him and his lawyer from discussing the case with anyone — including the media.
Alvin initially sued Young Thug, Birdman, and PeeWee Roscoe, Young Thug’s manager for civil assault and battery, violation of state and federal racketeering offenses, causing emotional distress and more.

Lewis claimed that Wayne’s tour bus was shot up after the rapper’s crew and PeeWee Roscoe’s clique allegedly had an altercation after a concert. Although Roscow was sentenced to 10 years behind bars, Lewis alleged that Roscoe made a few calls to both Thug and Birdman before and after the shooting.

“He has emotional injuries including post-traumatic stress and is not doing well,” his lawyer Jeffrey Gewirtz said back in 2016. He was requesting to be compensated for his “pain, anguish, suffering, discomfort, medical expenses” and lost wages.

Both Birdman and Young Thug went under criminal investigation for the case — ironically the same day Weezy’s Carter V album was finally released.

According to The BlastBirdman and Young Thug are asking a judge to issue a gag order in the lawsuit over Lil Wayne‘s tour bus shooting. They’re also reportedly pleading for the court to silence the man who is suing them.

Documents obtained by the news site says Birdman and Thug want an emergency motion to end their depositions and an order which prohibits the guy who is suing them, along with his lawyer, from speaking about the case to anyone, especially the media.

It was said that the rappers filed the docs just days after the entire case was put on hold by a Georgia judge due to the conduct of the lawyer involved in the case.

As we previously, Birdman and Thug were being investigated after a recorded phone call was released where both of the rappers can be heard talking to the alleged shooter Roscoe (aka Jimmy Winfrey) before and after the shooting. The Cobb County District Attorney recently announced they were deciding on whether to file charges against Thug and Birdman relating to the shooting. No decision has been made as of yet.

The bus driver, Alvin Lewis, also alleged those same details in his lawsuit. He called the shooting “gang-related.”

Lewis sued seeking unspecified damages. It is not clear when the case will resume, but the judge is allowing for Roscoe to be deposed from jail but everything else will be halted until further notice from the court, The Blastreports.
